Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how K & K Trucking Montana LLC ("K&K," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the K&K Driver mobile application (the "App"). The App is a work tool provided to K&K's own drivers. It is not intended for the general public and has no public sign-up.

Information we collect

• Account & identity. Your name and the username dispatch issues you. You sign in with that username and a password dispatch sets.
• Location. Your device's GPS location, collected while you are using the App — specifically when you mark that you have arrived at or departed from a shipper or receiver — so dispatch can confirm the stop without calling you. The App does not track your location in the background or between stops.
• Photos. Images you capture or attach for a stop: the bill of lading, proof of delivery, and any damage found at the dock.
• Operational data. Arrival and departure times, pulp temperature readings, piece counts, the name of whoever signed, and any exception or damage notes you enter.

The App does not contain advertising, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not build an advertising profile. It carries no analytics or crash-reporting software, so no usage or diagnostic data is collected from your device.

How we use information

• To show you the loads and stops assigned to you.
• To record what happened at each stop — when you arrived and left, the temperature you measured, what you photographed and counted.
• To prove the temperature of refrigerated freight was maintained end to end, which is what protects K&K and you if a customer disputes a shipment.
• To bill customers and pay drivers for completed work.
• To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

• Within K&K. What you submit is visible to K&K dispatch, safety, and billing staff.
• With customers, when a shipment requires it. Delivery confirmation and the temperature record for a load may be provided to the customer whose freight it was, or to their insurer, in connection with that shipment or a claim about it.
• With service providers that run the App on our behalf — principally Microsoft Azure for hosting and data storage. They may process data only to provide those services to us.
• For legal reasons when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of K&K, our customers, or others. This includes records we are required to keep under U.S. Department of Transportation and FMCSA regulations.

Data retention

We retain operational records — loads, stops, temperature readings, photos, and notes — for as long as needed to run our freight operations and to meet legal, regulatory, tax, and recordkeeping obligations, including the retention periods required of motor carriers. After that they are deleted or anonymized.

Security

Your session token is stored on your device, and all data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Your choices

You can turn off location or camera permission for the App in your device settings. Both are part of how the App does its job — recording where and when a stop happened, and photographing the paperwork — so some features will not work without them. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, contact us below or speak with dispatch. Some records we are legally required to keep cannot be deleted on request.

Children's privacy

The App is a workforce tool for commercial drivers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
